ARGUS, Colorado Springs? That was easy. Although it seemed like the pheromone signals weren't effecting Zatana as much as it did Andromeda and Clair.
"Thank you, Claire." Said Orchyd, since the attention was focused on her right this moment. She pressed her fingertips against the counter, and there was a small green glow.
"A token from mother nature." She smiled "If you sew this seed, and nurture it, its pedals never wilt or wither." She took her hand away from the counter and the seed was just laying there, waiting for Claire to do what she would with it. The green avatar could feel that Claire was apprehensive and anxious.
It was a representation of her dedication to doing the right thing. What's more is that she was only releasing these pheromones subconsciously so she had no ability to concentrate or control them, and beyond that perhaps manipulating feelings, even if only by accident, was not without it's risks?
" I know this is all so sudden, but we are in haste after all. I'm sorry there isn't more time, but I'm afraid we have to go."
She understood the urgency of this all; the need to stop hermes, and save Dr Fate, and beyond that the need to pass this parasite onto another host was also in the front and the rear of her mind as well. Orchyd knew that Colorado Springs was a tourist destination, named for it's naturally occurring hot springs.
She'd look at Zatana and Andy with a gentle nod. "Thank you again, Claire. For whatever it's worth I swear you won't regret this."
After that her body would transform into a glowing green slime before getting soaked into the ground, where she projected her consciousness along the root network in order to bring herself to the location. Usually she'd have to leap frog, but this time she got there instantly; an odd green rose sprouts from the ground and explodes with a green fire, vines roots and pedals which form the plant avatar's body. This time she beat the other mages to her location; if only by just a moment because she didn't have to step through a portal.
When this happened another blessing from nature occurred. A cat would come and rub against Orchyd's leg, which she knelt down to pet. When this happened she would feel the symbiote drain from her body; taking it's awful presence and peculiar powers with it. That cat would blink, it's eyes like inky black rippling pools. It hissed at the plant avatar before running away, disappearing into an alleyway.
What was more? The leaf talisman that Sylphie had turned into a bauble on her neck would shimmer just a little. A pheromone signal which produced the feelings of relief would emanate from the small token. Perhaps not to be noticed consciously? It all depended on where the plump purple magus was looking at the moment.
